Hi all,
just a post to say hello to my fellow Dane lovers..
I am 36 years old .. I live on a farm and have owned Danes all my life. One of the reasons I fell for my mate is he too is a Dane lover. We had his Black Male for 5 years and lost him to Stomach torsions. We now have his Daughter a sweet sweet 1 year old mantle..

3 weeks ago a neighbor from up the road brought us down a Male Harliquin about 3 years old that someone had shot in the chest.. He is recovering very well and just adds that much more love to our forever growing family.. We named him Zues. Our female Is Jazz..

Well as of last friday we now have 3.. I guess the people in our area think we are running a half way house for wayward greatdanes. A young fellow found a Harliquin female about a year running on a very busy road. Her ears had been cropped but they botched the job.. she is sweet an loving an also someone had attempted to shoot her in the chest * vet says according to the scarring she has.. I guess these two were meant to come to us.. They blend in wonderfully ... she looks just like Zues only with cropped ears. we named her Madusa aka Dusa.
I have the room an the money an the love to give these 3 plus a whole lot more

In my heart of hearts I think they both were dropped in the open by heartless breeders who realized these 2 were less than "quality" to their standards.. Zues has white eyes not a show favorite..And Dusa an her caught in a wind tunnel ears..
I beg of people if you cant keep this gentle giants .. Please take them to a no kill shelter or adoption place...Danes Cannot survive on their own in the wild.
Have a heart!!!!

If there is anyone in the North Texas area that needs to find a home for their Dane or finds one that needs help .. Please Email me .. I will be happy to help in anyway that I can
Thanks
Bobi

Welcome to DOl.

So glad to hear of the turn of good luck your two new family members have.
Thanks for caring for them so.
It really is a shame of what happened to them before but now they have a place where they are obviously loved.

Hi and Welcome. Sounds like you have a really big and great heart. I know there are a few people from Texas and they should be along shortly.

My other two deaf "non-dane" fur kids came to me with similar stories as your two. It is nice to hear of happy endings
