My name is Debbie and soon to be a first time Dane owner after wanting one for 10+ years. I have my application filled out at a local rescue group and hoping to be approved. hoping to learn as much as possible about Danes thru this discussion board. Happy Holidays to all!

Welcome aboard! Congrats on your 10 yr dream coming true soon! I have wanted a dane since I was 13 years old. Always was a reason why the timing was not right. Have had my guy since 8 wks and I couldn't be happier with my boy. Hope you find the perfect one for you! Your in the right place and Dina is right. This site is very addictive.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am so looking forward to hearing how my application status is going. Does anyone know how long it ususally takes? I know they try to fit the right dane to suit your family, and that is fine, I can wait for that, I am just anxious to definately know that I am approved, then I can be a little more patient because I know it will happen eventually.
