New to the board

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board. I found out about it at a local dog park while talking to another Dane owner.

My name is Melisa and my dog's name is Indi. Indi is a Blue Merle and Christmas Day is her first birthday.

It looks like she really is a blue merle. Most people call all dane merles "blue merles" since there's no "red merle" in the breed. But yours doesn't seem to have any black, and her nose even looks blue. Has she had any skin problems? I've heard they're more common in blues and blue merles.

Welcome and yes it is very addicting...I wish we had a dog park here...umm now that's an idea, I wonder how you could go about creating one? All we have here is PetCo and that just opened about a year ago.

She hasn't had too many skin problems, except for hives last saturday (but that's probably from getting into something). She's had minor irritation around the face. Our other dog has had worse skin problems, though (not a Dane).

The dog parks here in Tampa are great. There's tons of space, they can run around unleashed and there's a section in one of them that is a 'dog beach'. :)
