We thought maybe he was a dane cross at first (mom was a boxer, dumped with 11 puppies at the shelter) but at just 80 pounds, now we think he's a boxer/lab. He's a lovable goofnut! I call him my less dane, as opposed to my great dane. Here they are together:

Wow- thank you for posting that, even though you didn't mean to :)
Toby is 19 wks old, and weighs 48 pounds, so I don't think he is going to be real large, but the vet tells me he should be around 100# or so... According to what I have read he sure exhibits some Dane behavior though... He is a great dog, seems to catch on to things quickly and is getting along great with my other dog, and is chasing the cat less :P

I have a lab/dane mix. Her name is Emma, her father was a harliquin and her mom was a black lab. She is going to be 6 on the 26th and she is huge! She's taller than a lab, but very heavy. She is the most adorable dog I have ever known, and my mother works for a rescue so I've known a ton of dogs! She has more lab tendicies than dane, but I swear she understands everything we say. If I could complain about one thing it would be that I think she's a little jealous of the puppy, not that she lets us know that, but she's starting to hide all the puppies chew toys!
