HI,
I am just wondering about how much more growth (roughly) I can expect out of Maeve. She just turned a year old. SHe is 29 inchs and 75 pounds (small girl). I know she will still do some growing, but how much? I wouldn't think that all of a sudden she is going to shoot up 4 inchs, but she is my first dane so I am really not sure. I am pretty sure she will always be a small girl (mind you I get comments about that all the time, "wow I thought great danes were bigger than that" grr). Am I going to be seeing anything drastic or will she just start to fill out more? Thanks

Nothing concrete for you, but... I have heard that some lines take as long as 3 years to be fully grown/filled out.

My girl is just about the same.
1 year and about 4 months I think, my wife knows for sure.
She is just about 80lbs one time she was up to 84 then back down.
I am not sure 100% how tall she is.
I think about the same.
Both vets that she has seen thinks she is extremely healthy and say that her size is about perfect. I know it's smaller than most danes but the vets also think she may have a greater longevity because of it.

Let's hope so,

Jeremy

I've been told that Danes grow "up" until 2 years old and "out" until 3 years old. I would expect that she will get a little taller still. The rapid growing is probably finished but she will probably still get a little more height...

Just what I've been told...

Beth,

Wow, my Dane is 10 months and weighs 70 pounds - I was wondering the same thing - will she get bigger? She was a rescue and was very malnourished so I figured that was why. Now I see after reading a lot of the responses to your question that there are quite a few other small danes out there.
