At what age does a great dane reach the height they will be? I'm sure it varies but I was just curious what the norm was?

Around 2. They reach most of their height earlier, say around 8 months depending on the dog, but will more slowly after that to fill out to their full height, or near - most grow a little more after that as well, but slightly and mostly filling out.

Yup..around 2 or so. Brutus is about 38 inches at the shoulder now and he just turned 1 in February. I think he's probably done getting taller but he still has alot of filling out to do.

Diesel grew a little between a year and a year and seven months, but only slightly.

I think typicaly they grow up for around 2 years and out for the next year.

Correct me if i am wrong but I beleive most other breeds are done growing taller at about 8 months to a year?

When you say filling out around 3ish, does that also mean the dropping of the chest too?

Some lines mature slow and can take up to 3 years to fill out and be what they are going to be.Some chest drop some never do.If theirs something their to drop it comes with age.Ive seen a few never had any to drop so they couldnt. Some you can tell they will as its their.

I've heard that the smaller breeds stop at about 6 or 7 months
