It as been alomst year since I first started to read all the forums on Danes on Line and I have learned a lot. I am hoping to get a Puppy sometime around early summer of this year. However in the past few weeks I have been thinking about looking into rescuing a Great Dane instead of getting a puppy from a breeder. I live in Newfoundland and Great Danes are few and far between. Can anyone help me find a Great Dane Rescue Org. that have Great Danes available for adoption to Newfoundland. I have looked at the Rescue pages on DOL but can't seem to find anything for Canada. Since I'm just starting my search for a Rescue Dane any suggestions or help would be great!

Hi!

I would suggest you call the Canadian Kennel Club, they have rescue links and they could probably inform you on the nearest rescue. Make sure you have nice warm sweaters for you Dane up were you live. My boyfriend is from there and he says it's always cold.

You could also try www.Petfinder.com . Although, I'm not sure if they cover Canada too.
