I'm weighing my options as far as cropping ears or not. As far as natural ears go, I've met some breeders and veterinarians in years past that recommend taping weights (ie quarters or small weighted disks)to the inside tips of the ears of pups between 8-12 weeks to help train the ear leather to lay correctly and smoothly. The goal obviously being to avoid the folded crinkled ear. I've also met others at a variety of shows and trials that use this method for other breeds. Has anyone here ever done this? If so, to what degree of success?
Thanks, Jo

Thanks! That looks alot easier and more comfortable for them. I was worried about head shaking and whapping themselves with the weights. That techniques looks effective and easy to do.
