Hello to Everyone,
My family and I are New owners of a Fawn Puppy 7 weeks old today and we have sooo many questions? The breeder that we bought our pup from feeds his Danes Only dynamite Dog food, so we purchased a 40lbs bag @ $44.00. He says thats all he feeds his danes and hes has been a breeder for 20 yrs. He eats 2 times a day and hes adjusting very well.We were wondering if anyone has heard or used this product and how they like it and if its worked well. The puppy was checked by a vet the day after we bought him and he said he looked good but was concerned that I did not feed him "PUPPY FOOD".Then we had the dogs stool checked because of diarria and he has alot of bacteria in his stool,So we are concerned,Hes on medication for it and he has to have it for 10 days. Please if anyone could give me there opinion or feed back I would really apprecate it. Thanks for your Time. :-(

Hi and welcome to DOL. I wish you would have researched here a little before you brought your new dane pup home, but that's water under the bridge now. Do your homework here. Another good site to visit would be Linda Arndt's website "The Great Dane Lady."

NO PUPPY FOOD FOR DANES. Your dog food should consist of 23 % protein and 12 % fat. I feed Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. Mainly because he loves it and the first four ingedients are meat instead of grain.

GOOD LUCK!

I also feed Chicken Soup and it's worked out great for our dogs. If you're looking for another high-quality (human grade) dog food that is probably a bit cheaper in your area than what you're feeding, you might want to check it out.

I hope your little one gets better soon!
