Adopting a Dane soon!!!

Hello Dane Lovers!

I myself am one too, other wise I wouldn't be here.
I am going to adopt my Dane in a few weeks. His name is Nixon and he is 8 months old, he is a Mantle. Eventhough I don't have him yet I was able to get some pictures of him from his current owner. I have made an album at ImageStation for everyone to view. Of couse I will post more pics after I adopt him. I am so excited, finally after 5 years along with much research and planning I am able to get a Great Dane. I look forward to sharing dane stories and advice.

I know all about the "story" now.

I don't want to bring up what ever happened in the past but just for the record, Nixon's current owner is a good person and she is doing what is best for NIXON. So if anyone that is reading this post does know the "story" please don't be judgmental. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. It is Nixon's owners life, her business and her decision.

I can assure you she does truly love her boy and she wants what is best for him. We have spoken many times and we have both decided that Nixon will be a good match for me and he will be loved unconditionally. I hope who ever has judged her in the past doesn't judge me the same way.

Nothing was meant by my wording!
Nixon's first mommy didn't feel he was getting all he deserved and has made the incredibly tough decision to give him up to someone who can give him all those things. I can't even imagine how hard that must be.

So happy for Nixon. He's a special guy! I used to have a Boston Terrier that had Nixon's exact markings, to include the spot on his head. Please let us know how he settles in.
