So Stacking, thus far, not MY forte.. Certainly it is not Dayna's fault that she has no clue what I'm trying to do with her.. lol.. Anyways.. It's a start..

I do realize her front feet are too far forward, and her back are just all over the place but... What do ya'll think? Will we ever make it to the show world? (dont mind my pajamma pants, hehe.. nor my daughters photography skills, she's only 4)
Also. I'm using this video demo as my stacking guideline.. please correct me if this is not a good training tool.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foPxXkAzqJI

That is a great video. Michelle (from MIHI) is a breeder that is in my neck of the woods, she also helps you along with your own puppy for handling classes. She is quite knowledgeable as well.

Contact your local all breed club and see if they offer conformation handling classes. They are usually offered by the all breed club, on a pay as you use it basis. The Charleston KC charged $5 each night that attended. If you skipped a class, no big deal, you simply missed a class, no loss of payment, etc.

Hahaha, I love how she's standing on your foot in the first picture! roflmao
Very pretty girl! I know nothing about stacking and the way "things are supposed to look" for showing, but I think she's a gorgeous gal!

They always stand on your feet when you don't have shoes on, don't they :)

lol.. yes they do like feet dont they?? Step on feet, sit on feet, smell feet, and the occasional lick feet. lol
I looked up the closest thing to 'local' kennel I have. They dont advertise any handling classes, but I went ahead and emailed them just in case they do have them or know of somewhere I can take her. The trouble where we are is, lack of resources. Small military town, surrounded by small military towns. ;)

So "hold it" is working? Did you need to use the box?

Honestly.. I havent tried the box, yet. You can see in one of the pictures I was trying to position her by hold my foot behind hers (didnt work.. lol)
I did hear back from the Kennel Club and they linked me to a trainer who does CGC and Conformation.. Hopefully I will hear back from them soon. I'm eager to get started on the RIGHT path, before I train myself to do it wrong.
Dayna is VERY fidgety (sp?able) even on her sit/stay she is moving her head or shuffling her back feet a little. So I def. need someone who knows what they are doing, to help me help her. (if that makes any sense)

First off - make sure your pup has a good stay. I started my puppies working on the front feet first. We'd practice stand and get the front feet in place and then treat. Once they were used to me putting their feet where I wanted them then we worked towards the back feet. I used stand and when the feet were placed Stay. I would mark the whole thing with "Perfect" I also made a huge game of it where we would run & I would shout Stand and they would stop dead in their track & I would treat. After they got the idea of standing in place, I started having them place their feet by guiding them using "step up". My Elliott had the most perfect free stack :-).
Conformation class was a God send.

I think your puppy is beautiful, then again I am partial to blues.
Keep practicing. Practice makes perfect!
