Krypt's First Match

Today we went to the Illini Great Dane Club Fun Match. It was fun alright, funny too. Mostly all puppys, and they were really cute in everything.

Krypt was entered into sub-novice obedience. She didnt do too bad, except running from the judge for the stand for examination. In the end she took second place. Had she stayed for the exam she would have had first. butthead1 During her down & stay she was quietly whining the entire time for absolutely no reason. That was only overshadowed by the other mantle who was rolling around in the dirt on her back the entire time. roflmao

So, for a little extra experience in the ring, and having another male judge handle her, I entered her into the puppy conformation match. 7-9 mo. class. There were only two dogs, and she took second, which is not surprising, she was flaunting her gay tail, and trying to sit the entire time. But I am happy that she was not dismissed from the ring. She did so much better with that judge touching her than the first that it was worth it.

All in all it was a success at the match for some experience. It was a good time too. Although you guys have to see how displeased she looks to have only gotten second place! roflmao

congrats!!! I tried to make it but my pregnant butt couldnt wake up early, was my first good nights sleep in weeks!! From everything I have heard I missed a good match!!

I didnt know you were pregnant. Congrats. When is the baby due?

There was quite a nice turnout. And of course all of the puppies were adorable as ever.

My favorite event was the national anthem start. Someone played a trumpet for the anthem. Right at the end the flag tipped over and every dog there started barking. I think it was a fitting start with the dogs participation.

I am really proud of Krypt. She gave it her all with all the numerous distractions. It was a good start. There was a rally run-through that was set up. I wish it was part of the match. Krypt did so good at that. I just wish there were more rally matches offered around here for me to take her to.

roflmao This show was a non-negotiable. Especially since I just became a memebr of the Illini GD Club.

Life has become a battle of calender days for me. Whatever gets scheduled in first wins, everything else has to wait.

Unfortunately, that means I cant convince Brian to take a different day off to get our marriage license so that we can go to the dane specialty in WI this Friday. :(

No matter what is going on I have to find a way to keep up on Krypt's training, since I cannot commit to a class with the wedding so soon. The moment I let training slack, she tests her limits.

I am 21 weeks so over the halfway hump! Due end of Nov. I feel like its been a year already though!!

We are also wedding planning, we were supposed to be getting married this Aug, but the baby changed that to next Aug. So instead we are taking a trip to FL this Aug to get one last vacation in before the baby comes, and something special for my daughter before she isnt the only child anymore.
