Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my "little" one (Anubis). I have one great dane and hope in a year or two to get him a buddy... we will see how this year goes since he is quite the little devil :P He is 12 weeks and has me on a great workout program chasing him from toilet paper roll to trash can to plants and running on the back of couches around the room...I think I have lost a couple of pounds since we got him :7 . We just lost our first great dane (Mufasa) in June and lets just say it had been a long time since he climbed on the back of couches... He was only in our lives for six years but they were by far the best six years of my life and I miss him every morning when I get up and every night when I go to bed, he was a total lover and a "great" friend. So now I am getting used to the piranha teeth biting me on the nose instead of the sweet gentle kisses I used to get... Let's just say we have some work ahead of us. Thanks for listening and I love this site, some great advice on here that I have used many times already.

So sorry to hear about Mufasa. Those memories will be cherished ones. I hope your new little bundle fills the hole in your heart. Never completely, but enough so that dealing with the day isn't as sorrowful as it once was.
Welcome to DOL, this is a great place to visit, chat for awhile and maybe learn something you didn't know!

Welcome to DOL:
Sorry about your loss of Mufasa. So hard to lose them. With danes often it's the quality of time not the quantity. Praying your new baby Anubis will help soften the blow some.

Welcome and I'm so sorry to hear about Mufasa. I thought I would wait a couple of years (at least one) to get Kiley a friend. I lasted till she was 1 year old before we adopted Samson...oh well! I wouldn't trade either of the little devils }>

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am also in Michigan and I lost my baby black(LacyGirl) when she was only 8 and a half years old to cancer last year and I miss her terrible. But I went through the running and clean up and biting again with my black and white male (Joshua)he's 1 year old and I will never regret getting him. I love him so much. I just got a merle female a couple of days ago that's 2 years old. I love her already. She looks somewhat chocolate with hundreds of big black blotches on her. Such a beauty :) Hope you enjoy your bundle of love as much as I am enjoying mine. They can't take my babys place but they have their own place already deeply planted in my heart. Thank God for great danes. :o
