ok, forgive my ignorance and please don't stone me! but i got a beef kidney at the store cause i couldn't' find liver... i was wondering if there was any reason i shouldn't give it to her, or if there's a good way to cook it for her... i know i need to get a cookbook or something for my doggie treats, but for now i'm just using the internet. what do you guys think?

I don't see any reason not to feed it. Sounds good. I feed raw, so that's how I'd feed it, but you could probably cut it into thin slices and put it in the oven at a low temp. for a long time to dehydrated it like people do with liver. I'm sure you could cook it other ways too.

FYI, liver is usually sold in little air-tight packs found in the freezer section. Maybe you were looking in the fresh?

You might want to look up kidney recipes for people to check out how to treat it. I think you might have to wash it a lot before you cook it or risk some truly terrible odors. Course, the pup will probably love itroflmao

Being intimately associated with kidneys, I thought this was a great irony...
